Chuffed!

Because Steve’s mum just got a new job which I think will really suit her :) It’s 3 days a week as a primary school administrator at a school which is between Exeter and Crediton! She will be ace at the job and according to all reports I’ve heard, it’s a relatively nice little school, it’s part-time which she wanted, so I’m really pleased for her! We’re having a takeaway this evening to celebrate.

We had a nice day, the children did some more of their animal sticker atlas (together, nicely, which is worthy of note!!), Anna did some Round the World with Carmen Sandiego, they all played dance mat (tick music and movement, rofl!), Grandma came round and did some hama beads with us … and this afternoon we went to the garden centre to find some little rockery plants which have duly been planted. Oh, and Anna has spent at least an hour today working on piano/music reading, with me. I am going to have to brush up my own music reading skills in order just to manage the accompaniments in her book – they’re all in the bass clef, too, which I find much harder! Anyway I was really pleased with the way she worked at it, and we have three little pieces ready to show Steve when he gets home.

Also, we are planning to decorate some eggs after tea – I bought some egg wraps again from Lakeland – they come in a pack of 24 and I’m only going to use 12 so would anyone like the other 12? First to shout (and give me your address if I haven’t already got it) can have them!
