Troy

November 30th, 2004 by Sarah

We’re about to continue the Greek project by watching Troy – dubious historical relevance I know, but the girls were supposed to be finding out about Greek fashions this week so I’m sure they’ll take something useful in!

Made loads of Christmas cards this morning to the accompaniment of my new carol CDs which arrived this morning, then this afternoon the children watched TV while I chatted to a lady who’s interested in being involved with the Miscarriage support work. Oh, and I finished categorising the blog today, too!! After that came cello lessons and playing at the park, and then a friend has arrived for tea and the evening. All very nice and laid back, which is just what I was hoping December would be.

I enjoyed Troy, although I think it was more to do with Orlando Bloom than anything else ;o)

I knew nothing of the actual story though so I’d no idea if it was accurate! I take it it wasn’t?

What Carols CD did you get Sarah. I have loads of Cassettes and a CD I got last year. I like the carols that have been rearranged by Christian Artists – I just sing them all the time.

Oh I enjoyed it but where on earth did they find Hector…he was terrible.

I enjoyed it also. Same as Kirsty though have nothing to compare to.

The sun rising in the west every morning was good too ;-)

According to a classics teacher at the school where I used to work, the main gist of it was that lots of people died who weren’t supposed to, and others stayed alive who were meant to have died. Her guess was they were keeping all their options open for doing a sequel!

    lol!
Actually, we thought Sean Bean as Odysseus was pretty good, so maybe we could next have the Odyssey? Of course, in the same spirit as Troy, his epic journey would be condensed to a 2 week package holiday …. ;-)

Ah – anything with Sean Bean in is good :0)
