Was planning to leave at 8am
But I don’t think it’s going to happen! 9am, maybe
Have managed to fit most things in the car, so that was good.
Spent yesterday farting around sorting out the car, and then we had some friends over in the afternoon who are thinking of home educating their four children when they move house probably later in the year. I think all the children got on well, although we managed to be a bad influence with the Gamecube
We had a good discussion too, Steve managed to get home from work which was nice – made us think all over again about they hows and whys of our home education, which is never a bad thing, either.
Last night I packed all the packable stuff, the boot is full, now I’m praying that the food from the fridge/freezer will fit in the front footwell. My friend who lives in the Borders finally got back to me so I’ve arranged to go and see her one day while we’re at Melrose. Anyway, those of you who are going to Melrose, see you later. Those who aren’t, have a good week, I’ll be back next weekend. And Steve, don’t forget to feed the hamster

Hamster?
February 6th, 2005 at 15:52
Steve, you’ll be able to work out what and where the hamster is by Friday as it’ll probbaly be dead and smelling. The sad thing is Sarah isn’t joking with that reminder! Are children easier to remember to feed and water than plants and animals? I hope so as we have killed all but one extremely resilient ivy in our house and we’ve never trusted ourselves with an animal. Also Liz is allergic to them and it was her or a pet. So I choose her as pets can’t make lasagne

Dear Stuart, not sure. I killed both an ivy and spider plant at university and still forget to feed the girls now. At least they are old enough to tell me now!

Have a good trip, wherever you’re going.

You not back yet…..I had you leaving by 5am, in Lutterworth by 10, Banbury by noon….so home by now…..
February 11th, 2005 at 18:07
Think it was somewhere nearer 7 they left, although I could be wrong, they were remarkably quiet with it. And very congenial room sharers too.
February 11th, 2005 at 20:14
Left at 7.45am, was in Lutterworth by 12.15pm, Banbury by 1.45pm but didn’t leave there until 4pm, got home at 7.30pm. Huge hold ups on the M5 on the last stretch, two accidents … anyway it’s good to be home.

So if you *had* left at 5 I’d have been pretty close…..
Hamster alive?

Oh, did you see Tina?
February 12th, 2005 at 9:35
lovely meeting you. Felt a bit bad that Alys wailed so much that night since you had an early start.

I didn’t hear her at all!
Hamster is alive, and yes I did see Tina!
