Yeah, thought it was a bit ironic that Paul got fired partly because Sir Alan hasn’t ever got to know him, when that’s because he and his teams have been so successful! Can’t bear Michelle, she’s just useless.

Nah, I reckon Michelle just *looks* useless. If I had to place money on one of them it would be Michelle, mainly because Ruth is just too brash and confident. We’ll see next week, I guess!

there does seem to be a very quiet steely determination to michelle, and I wonder wether I don’t like her/emapthise [whatever, as we haven't met!] is becuase she is so goal driven. i have to say that for a 15 year old no hoper [or whatever!] she has been very determined to succeed.
I think ruth is very capable, just a bit bull in china shop for me.
i liked ansell. he just got on with it. but he was good in a team, and good at people control, so i think he would have made a good apprentice.
i can’t bear people that go round saying how bloody marvellous they are either.
i cringed big style with the interviews – they were all so poor! how can none of them known anything about the company!

I think AS empathises more with Michelle and her ‘come from nothing, worked her way up from the gutter’ background. I think Ruth’s aggression is partially due to her appearance – it’s hard to come across as shy and retiring when you simply don’t look it!
I like Ruth more based on her being more upfront, honest and less complicated a person than I perceive Michelle to be.
I thought Paul fell apart completely under pressure – maybe he’s coasted along doing so well simply because he’s not faced any tough questioning. I was surprised he got cast out on that basis but he had a real chance to make his pitch when AS said ‘Im listening now’ and he came up with a two sentence answer which didn’t sell himself at all. Surprising given how frequently he’s changed his job and therefore the amount of interviews he must have attended in the past! The alarm bells started ringing too when he started to talk about depression in the past…
The interviews were awful, although I can’t imagine there are many job interviews where the style is quite that aggressive, personally if I ever went for an interview like that I would probably leave on the basis that I would not want to work for that company anyway – although I know that it was done a) for the cameras and b) not actually by the company anyway.
I was looking at the application form online for next years show and it has some funny old questions on it though.
I really hope Ruth wins but I suspect Michelle will take it.

I’ve only seen a few of them but Ruth has got to be the most awful woman on earth – couldn’t stand her!!! Don’t think I could cope with watchin anything else with her in it so won’t be watching the final one!! Nowt to do with the fact there are no decent blokes in it of course

Michelle is useless because she IS USELESS. Have you forgotten the topshop debacle? 2 hours in VIP to sell a £30 skirt. And she doesn’t have a grasp of the English language. Ruth is the sort of woman it should be legal to punch, several times, very hard…….and I despise both of their ‘I’ve got half a CSE and worked hard and made it therefore anyone can’ attitude…..I don’t believe that anyone can do anything if they try hard enough……

I like Ruth, you know exactly where you are with her, she’s not going to be pissing about behind your back. And she works bloody hard, and gets results.
Can’t think of anything impressive Michelle has done in 10 weeks.

That’s what Ady said about Ruth – he likes her but doesn’t think she’d make a great employee or subordinate. He likes Michelle (predicably
) but I think she’s quite manipulative. Be interesting to see them pitched against each other next week.
I agree Chris, I hate the ‘if I can do it anyone can’ attitude.
