Amazing Maize Maze

July 31st, 2006 by Sarah

Having a wonderful time in the company of yet more friends :)

Went out this morning to Get Lost in Devon in a maize maze that I’ve been meaning to go to for years now. Despite rain and various children having paddies over various things we really enjoyed it, and the go-karts at the end were great too.

Ate out at Bickleigh Mill which was nice too, I especially appreciated the Simon Drew place mats, I was sorely tempted to buy some in the gift shop at the end as I love Simon Drew!

Now home relaxing with sleep, reading, and games. I love having people to stay while they’re ‘on holiday’ as it means we feel as though we’re on holiday too :)

Looks like a lot of fun Sarah, We haven’t been to that maze, but I’m sure the boys would love it (they liked the rather poor one at Crealy!) I might mention it to their dad at some point as he’s always looking for things to do with them.

Oh yes, Hi to Ros and co as well ;-)

Those carts look familiar, although I’m not certain which holiday I remember them from.

Simon Drew always takes me back 25 years to one particular shop in the Covered Market! Impressive that he’s still going :)

Ah, for me it’s Dartmouth and the Regatta where I spent a few summers on the trot doing youth camps … I’d never noticed a shop with his stuff in in the covered market! Surely not 25 years ago though?! It’s only 15 years ago for me!!

Hmm, yeah, didn’t notice that typo! 15 yes :) A little gift-y type shop right up against the … erm … west side.

Sarah, I’ll take you to the shop next time you’re up this way! I’m pretty certain it still sells Simon Drew T-shirts.

I have always wanted to do a maize maze but am concerned if my youngest at 4 would manage it…don’t suppose you can take pushchairs? Did your youngest cope okay?

  8. Sarah Says:

Yes, he was fine - and a buggy would have been manageable - we all stayed together anyway!
