Up a gear or two!
Front room decoration has picked up pace a little! I thought it was going to be a long drawn out affair, but last night Steve stripped wallpaper off around the fireplace, and today we’ve painted blobs of colour onto the chimney breast – he’s going for the contrasting chimney breast approach in order to save painting the rest of the room, but that’s fine by me.
I told him he could do what he liked with the room, and I think he’s taking me at my word. Unsurprisingly, it’s getting expensive
In other news today … we did some music practice together (took an hour to do what should have taken ten minutes, don’t know why I bother sometimes), and then some baking. Chocolate Fudge Cake. Not quite chocolatey enough due to lack of the proper amount of cocoa, but the fudginess, which we got right for once, made up for it
I have eaten about four pieces too many already this afternoon!
The girls have had a mutual friend around to play – someone Anna met at swimming and now turns out to be in Abbie’s class at school, and they’ve been doing puppet shows and playing outside on bikes.
Josiah and I got a science kit out of the cupboard and looked at that together, it was about different parts of a plant, then covered fruits/vegetables and which ones have seeds, then we planted some seeds, so that will be ongoing. And between vegetable Sea Monsters and pots of seeds, my kitchen windowsill is beginning to look more like a home ed one instead of a clean tidy one. No, I don’t think the two things are mutually exclusive but, um …

Oh, and someone else emailed me some more (better) photos from Saturday!
Right, I have a huge pile of laundry to sort/iron so I must stop blogging and get on with it …

Seriously you should have a website to share your ‘planning ahead’ skills – I would pay to subscribe. There have been some classics.

Oh SARAH! You are so funny. Mind you, we’ve been looking at some houses with 3 reception rooms, we might need sofas from the back of lorries…

Film night’s not going to be very comfy …
12 weeks though? That’s, like, May! Shall we bring our own beanbags and floor cushions when we come?

rofl … thankfully we do have another lounge
February 22nd, 2006 at 9:59
Does this mean we are going to Exeter at some point or was that speculative ‘when we come’?
February 22nd, 2006 at 11:28
No film night on Sunday then?
February 22nd, 2006 at 15:22
not on the big screen, for a little while – but you know us, can’t do without films for that long, we still have a big tv! Anyway, we invited you last Sunday, Neil, and you didn’t come!
