Dammit!

11am ish
I am so rubbish at the hard sell! Had some customers in a moment ago who really shouldn’t have left the office without giving me a deposit first, and I let them walk. Steve is going to kill me …
UPDATE at 1.30pm:
Yay yay yay! They came back and bought the car!!
This is more of an achievement than usual as Russ is away so I did it all by myself and still feel very pleased with myself on such occasions. The words ‘white’ and ‘flag’ don’t enter into it, of course

Well done!
Will you be in a celebratory mood tonight then?

Well personally I walk away from anyone who tries to give me the hard sell, and never go back again, so perhaps you did exactly the right thing!!!

+1 to Joanna.
I usually know what I want and about what I want to buy (often, though not always a damn site better than the salesman) and need to make up my own mind.
Your gentleness probably actually made that sale.

I agree. Hard sell makes me walk away on principle. I could imagine a garage with both types of salespeople, where you could predict your customer type as they walk through the door (forcourt or whatever) would be pretty profitable.
Hello, btw
Are you on Easter hols yet? We are

Oh good, if I’m in moderation can you sort my spelling pretty-please?
March 31st, 2006 at 15:49
No, we have another week to go! You got moderated because of the new name/email, Heather, I don’t always moderate people because of their spelling
Has your computer finally died then, if you’re at the library?

Well done Sarah
And, Heather!!! Thought you’d left forever!

Puter very unwell. Have been offline for nearly a month. House very tidy, cuisine very experimental, OU course ahead of schedule, etc, etc.
Will probably sort it soon though.
