Yet another rushed blog entry
Only rushed because for some reason I try to fit blogging into a day when there really isn’t time for it!
Not quite sure why I feel so exhausted given that I’ve actually not been doing a lot over the past couple of days, and our friends have been the perfect houseguests, but I am! I’d like to think that facilitating everyone else’s relaxation/playing etc. has been hard work, but perhaps I’m just getting old
This morning the children had a competition to see who could stay in bed the longest (Anna won by a mile).
Abbie pulled a tooth out (her 9th – she does have sadistic tendencies though
).
After breakfast they all did some hama beading which for some of them went on all morning, and Anna & I made a birthday cake for Robyn tomorrow.
Liz went out to an opticians appointment, then Nigel took some of the children out to do a tour of the town, visiting the house where we used to live together and our old local park, just for old times’ sake. Steve was working so they all popped in to the garage before coming back for a late lunch.
This afternoon saw lots of playing outside for most of the children, piano and recorder lessons for Anna and Abbie, chatting to Nig & Liz before they left … and then some tidying up, cake icing/decorating (done entirely by the children
), and here we are.
Got to get ready to go out tonight as well, but blogging comes first as it’s therapeutic – who cares about changing and putting makeup on, as long as I’ve blogged
Babysitter will be here any minute though and I want time to chat to her as well so I’d better get a move on. Kids are wildly excited about Dr Who tonight but Steve & I will have to catch a repeat sometime …

The boys are sitting here with bated breath waiting for it to start too! (Dr Who, that is).

Didn’t realise Nigel and Liz were with you – give them a hug for me, would you Sarah?
