Missing Notes
Another lazy Saturday here
Aunty Emma turned up to do make up with the girls (apparently a promise she’d made that she felt duty bound to keep before moving out this weekend), and we sat around watching TMi (well, those of us who are watching tv this week did, anyway!), and got music practices done.
Anna had a party to go to over lunchtime, so we dropped her up to her friend’s house at noon. The invitation had made it sound like a grown up lunch party, but as her friend’s mum opened the door I could hear the 10yo girly shrieks from the van! I bet that she’ll be so relieved when the three hours are up!
The other two have done a couple of crafty things, first of all they started making some jelly sweet monsters from a kit Abbie had last year.

Relatively successful I think although getting them out of the moulds is proving interesting. And they taste foul! Never mind, eh?!
They’ve fimoed as well, Abbie really enjoyed that too – in fact she has plans to fill some glitter snow dome outers that we never finished last year as the plaster of paris moulds for that kit weren’t very good – I reckon fimo models inside the glitter domes will look quite good. Kids took the photos …
Joe’s done a bit more of a music theory book we’re working on, which is proving quite successful – I wanted to teach him to read music but he’s not that bothered about learning piano yet so I’m hoping this approach will work instead – I was a bit lost for how to teach him without the piano at the same time, iyswim. We like the book, anyway, comes recommended
I asked him to do a page while waiting for me to clear the table and four pages later he’s still going so he must be enjoying it! Bringing back childhood memories for me (Psalty strikes again) as Joe is trying to find the missing notes … ‘we’re the missing notes, you’re about to miss the boat’!
Emma and Robyn are coming back for one last night so that Em can join in with the poker game we’re hosting tonight, so it’s tea, then X Factor, then poker this evening – should be fun
