Watch this space …

November 10th, 2006 by Sarah

Following a bit of a trend and with the greatest of thanks to my technical assistant, WP is upgraded here too … new tarski theme installed, which I will be fiddling with all evening – joy :D

Update
I have the part of tarski that I wanted working now, even if I did have to delete a whole section of code to sort it out (not exactly the best way to sort it but it’s done the job), and that’s the tag cloud. I just love looking at it! And of course now I have to go back through my 1600 odd posts to tag them all, which appeals greatly to my ocd tendencies. As if I didn’t have enough to do with consolidating my acww catalogue ;)

Can’t sort the picture just yet so the colours/piccie at the top might take longer to sort out – and I think I (and therefore you ;) ) just have to live with it for a while before making any more theme changes

Ah…. love having my link top :) And do i take it the word sheep included on my group text was an in joke i wasn’t in on then!!!!????

  4. Sarah Says:

uh, I don’t think so! Coincidence, I think!

Your link isn’t going to stay there I don’t think Merry, I can’t cope with *too* much change at once, I just haven’t worked out how to get my favourite reads to come above the links!

  5. Jax Says:

quite like this look, very simple and clean. Comments are a long way down though.

  6. Sarah Says:

They are, especially with my long sidebar and short post in this instance. Usually I don’t think it’ll be a problem, as the sidebar’s going to get shorter and my posts are often longer ;) My dewdrop header is on its way back sometime tonight hopefully, and I’m going to fiddle with a few other things, but I’ve been wanting Tarski as my theme for ages …

  7. Ruth Says:

It’s very slow to load. Or is it me?

  8. Sarah Says:

possibly just a first time thing …

  9. Alison Says:

“but I’ve been wanting Tarski as my theme for ages …” – what is it that you like about it then?

I like the horizontal lines, but not sure about it being so up and down.

  10. Sarah Says:

well i’ll tell you when I’ve got it working! And I’ll work on the up and down thing too, it will just take me a little while ;)

  11. Sarah Says:

And I reserve the right to change my mind in a few days, too!

  12. Chris Says:

I like it generally but I don’t like the comments page at all.

  13. Sarah Says:

no, me neither at the moment – be patient!

  14. Sarah Says:

Hmm. I’m exceedingly cross. I can’t get Ultimate Tag Warrior to work properly, and it was the tag cloud that I wanted – it’s sort of working, but not well – if you try and select any of the tags in the bottom list then you get errors :(

    Bum.

  15. Jax Says:

ultimate tag warrior? can take a look over the weekend if you like.

  16. Sarah Says:

Well I’ve deactivated it at the moment, and i’m faffing about with another tag cloud thingy instead – it was giving me error messages about ‘cannot load ulitmate-tag-warrior-actions.php’ … I installed the older version of UTW (3.0.1) rather than the newest one, as that was the one with that file in it, but to no avail. Not sure I can be bothered to sort it out, I know there is lots of other twiddling I’d want to do with this theme to get it working, and I could just use the other one and any old widget-supporting theme to sort that.

  17. Ruth Says:

I’m not sure I understand many of your blog comments but you sound happy in a busy-sorting-myself-out kind of way Sarah!

  18. Sarah Says:

Hah. Don’t worry, I’ve sorted it (after a fashion!). Not in the best manner possible but at least I’m not getting error messages on the live pages now.

I thought you’d been brought up to date on all in jokes in your absence ;)
