Vital Research

November 22nd, 2006 by Sarah

We have spent the last few weeks fine tuning our Wednesday evening routine; most recently we’ve been testing various routes from our house to the studios where Anna is dropped off (the first of three different drop off points in the evening). Since the clocks changed the traffic has got noticeably worse, and heading into the city for 5.45pm is never going to be easy at the best of times!

Anyway, we’d tried a couple of different routes, and had one last one to try, which I did tonight – think it was significantly better than either of the others so I will be using it from now on! ‘Better’ being measured by (a) managing to shave, oooh, at least 3 minutes off the time it usually takes, and (b) not having to sit in any queues of traffic.

Other things we learnt tonight:
A carousel of poker chips makes a rather loud noise (and a big mess) when sliding around the van ( I told him not to bring them in the van!)
15 dried apricots eaten just before a violin lesson is never a good idea – at least we managed to get through an hour’s lesson before they took effect!

Apart from that, it’s been a nice but relatively insignificant day here – chilled out for the most part, with some good conversations in amongst a lot of things getting done :)

Riona ate a whole packet of dried mango for breakfast on Saturday plus a fresh one. No consequences to note. Bizarre child ;)

She might just have managed her consequences in a more discreet manner than Josiah!
