Another Egg-speriment

November 28th, 2006 by Sarah

Anna’s science homework this week was to design a parachute that could prevent an egg from breaking when dropped … as usual left until the last minute (not that she had any other minutes in which to do it) as it is due in tomorrow morning – we tested it and it just about worked (well the shell had a crack in it but the egg didn’t break and go everywhere, so I consider that almost successful!), although I’m not sure if the egg box basket is a legal part of the design! Not sure of the height she was supposed to drop it from either, but never mind ;)

egg sighting... not egg speriment

Tim – NO! That would have been cheating ;)

We didn’t have any eggs – mad rush to shop on way to school this morning! ;)

We had to do this at some point at school, either sixth form or early Uni to encourage team building, we had to drop ours from a second floor window! The basket is definitely legal though I’m sure, it does the intended job, what more can they ask?! Cool pix :)

lol Ruth, I didn’t know they had to take eggs in! Apparently Anna’s class didn’t test theirs today after all in any case as Mr Willis was having teeth out!
