Charlotte’s Web

February 20th, 2007 by Sarah

Has anyone seen the new Charlotte’s Web film yet? I used to love the animated version when I was little, and I don’t want to spoil it!

Our library was running a competition all about it so Joe and I spent a while looking at these activities from Film Education, and entering the competition.

Today Josiah was over the moon to get a letter in the post. He won the competition! So he’s now the proud owner of a pair of Odeon tickets, and even though it was me who helped him with the competition, for some reason he’s treating Steve to a cinema trip sometime next week!

Our kids were taken by their grandmother. They loved it.

I’ve never seen the animated version but we all went to see it on Saturday and loved it.

Well done Joe, M picked up a leaflet but in my ikky haze I completely forgot to get him to fill it in!

I’m really glad Joe won, its great when somebody you know wins these things. Hope he enjoys the movie, the boys want to go at some point too, so I’ll look out for a report on how good/bad it was. ;-)

well done Joe. D&S want to see it. I didn’t like the animated version (too many songs IIRC) but the book was one of my favourites as a child. I got the Jackanory story told by Connie Booth from the library on dvd but it didn’t hold their attention. Was hoping film education would do some screenings :) , might try and see it when half term is over.
