Birthday Skating

January 5th, 2007 by Sarah

As Anna’s birthday treat (postponed for a couple of days due to rain on Wednesday!) we went ice skating after school today :) A very special treat as the nearest rink usually is 45 minutes’ drive away, but we’ve had an ice rink in town over Christmas. The kids had never been before, so they were really excited, and did very well considering the ice was really far too wet to skate on – however the temporary rink works it obviously hadn’t re-frozen very well after its 3pm refresh! Met up with friends there too which was great.

Now home to get wet clothes off and have pizza, popcorn (great with my new anniversary present glass-lidded saucepans!) and a film of Anna’s choice :)

Didn’t they wear gloves? I went with the girls a few months ago and they were most put out I was better at it than them (ha ha). They went on Tues with Rog and I Caitlin has been more but being the hands-on Mum that I am I’m not 100% sure ;)

Great photos, specially the one with Anna skating across the rink :-)

Would it be permissible for me to download the ones that have the boys in them please (and possibly blog them too – citing you as the photographer of course!)

Thanks for inviting us to share the fun, hope everybody managed to dry out ok and there are not too many bruises in the morning.

download/blog them by all means but don’t worry about the permissions, we can’t really remember who took which ones anyway. Well Steve took the one with me in it, and I took the one with him in it, but other than that … ;)

Happy birthday Anna – sorry I missed the posts but been in bed with flu all week. Ice skating looks fun!

Sarah, we’re off to Florida on Monday and I’ll be flickr’ing my photos a couple of times a week if your children want to look out for more Disney photos!

Helen, you just add wp-commentsrss2.php to the end of the blog url.

In fact if sage wasn’t so full of redundant dross you’d see it further down – or have you just added since
