Feels like Friday
And worse – I only realised it *wasn’t* Friday when I switched my DS on and Crazy Redd was nowhere to be seen!
Has been a relatively manic couple of days – well, lots of work but hasn’t felt as though we’ve achieved very much.
Tuesday saw us baking before breakfast, as Anna went out of the door in the morning her parting shot had been ‘Joe, do some baking today!’, so he obliged. Went to work with Steve and that took the rest of the day
Thankfully no cello lessons so the girls started on Easter Bonnet making, then remembered about Anna’s maths homework, and that was the diabolical end to the day. Miscarriage Support in the evening while Russ & Marg babysat and watched Casino Royale on the big screen – Russ’s birthday treat!
Steve had disappeared to go with Adam and collect a rather large truck, which they drove up North to collect Em & Adam’s furniture which has been in storage for the past however long it’s been – they finally have their own house to move to so that’s very exciting. Less exciting was the discovery that no, Adam didn’t book a Travelodge room, and no, they couldn’t park the truck anywhere near one either. So they settled for buying duvets and pillows in Asda and slept in the back of it! Ah well, we had been needing another spare duvet and more pillows
Yesterday Joe did well and finished off a maths book and a music theory book in time for the holidays. Took him ages because he was a bit cross that he couldn’t score 100% on the test at the end of the music book but there we go. After that we went to work and got stuck in traffic for hours, waited at DVLA for hours, everything just took ages. We were rather pleased to find a pile of Road Safety Activity Books sitting on the side at DVLA, and were waiting there for so long that Joe had time to complete the whole thing!
Came home for the girls, then the usual piano/recorder lessons. Em came over for tea and to take Abbie to Wind Group for me, although ironically I could have managed it because we turned up for a violin lesson but our teacher was nowhere to be seen. Pointless coming home inbetween though, so we sat in the car and watched tv/played ds while waiting for Anna to finish at Stage by Stage.
Robyn was here for the night but not impressed at being in the travelcot so when we got home we got her up again and all watched the Very Hungry Caterpillar DVD while manically trying to finish Easter Bonnets. Got the kids to bed around 9pm just in time for the Apprentice; Steve got home (completely knackered) just before the end.
Today we have Robyn for the day; Steve is going to help unload the truck and move Em & Adam in. We’re planning lots of Easter baking and a little bit of shopping, as well as going round to school for the last day of term Easter Egg hunt thing later on (joy
) Anna seems to have lost her school clothes though, which could be a problem, pmsl!

How on earth can one lose onesschool clothes?????
April 5th, 2007 at 12:32
Well one can! She had been told (at 8am) to go and get dressed. To be fair, she had been really helpful getting Robyn dressed and breakfasted, but went up at 8 to get herself ready. At 8.40am I called up to say it was time to go, and she was still in pyjamas and had ‘lost’ her clothes.
I said ‘where did you leave them’, she said ‘on the floor’, which was blatantly untrue as she’d come home the previous day in PE kit, so I had concluded that they must be stuffed in her school bag. It took me to spell it out to her before she reached the same conclusion though!
Lo and behold they were in her bag – or some of them, anyway. Lucky for her Abbie has a spare pair of culottes which she had to go to school in until she found her skirt – somewhere – *if* she finds it!
And that is how on earth one dizzy chick like my daughter can lose her school clothes!

Lol about the school clothes. Probably not that funny at 20 to 9 in the morning though…
With the boys it was always their school shoes, no idea how they managed to lose them though.
