Tattoos and piercings
October 30th, 2007 by Sarah
No stereotypes, discrimination or anything then … my interviewer this morning let slip that what they were really looking for was whether I had tattoos or piercings! They did ask about other things too, but that was what made me laugh the most. I’m tempted to go and get one or two, just on principle, if I get the job. Which I won’t know until Friday afternoon, and then I may or may not decide to admit what it is!

Errr… I don’t know how far I want to go with this line of thought, but I’m not sure how it could matter if they’re covered up? You’re not going to be working near an MRI scanner / James Bond villain’s death ray / other source of strong magnetic fields, are you? (Assuming they give you the job.)

lol that is really funny though that they even came out right with that kind of question… I am getting more and more intrigued about this job you’ve applied for

Not all tattoos are visible at interview.

You could always get some of those transfer type “tats” and stick them all up your arms…..

TB. Sarah has much more bottle than that.
Can you set up a poll on here so we can vote for what tattoos we think you should have.
I think you should have one of these.

Where?

ah Tim your suggestion for a tattoo made me laugh out loud.
Don’t think I have the guts for a piercing anywhere that wouldn’t be seen!
However I have often toyed with getting a tattoo. Just can’t help thinking that when I’m old and wrinkly it would look rubbish, that’s about the only reason I haven’t! Oh and that I think I’d rather spend money on something I could change, rather than something so permanent.
But if I did have one, I’d quite like an alpha – omega symbol. A friend of ours has the Hebrew Yahweh tattooed up his arm in huge Hebrew letters and I love it, but then he’s in a band (and young and trendy) so he can get away with it.
Also of course now I’ve said it, I can’t possibly do it. I always thought I’d just get one and see how long it would take Steve to notice!

I’ve always had the same feeling about a tat looking rubbish when you’re old and wrinkly!

So how long have you been pursuing a career in modelling?
[Chuckles to self]
Does anyone remember the ‘tattoff’ clip from youtube?
Alison – you made me think of people that rattle when they walk :0
