ECO Christmas Concert

Erm … the picture says it all really! We all went to the concert this evening; Anna played the piano in the interval as well as being part of the orchestra, and Abbie got a mention in the rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’. A lot of fun all round; great to see Anna enjoying herself. The kids and I helped with the raffle too, and Josiah really wanted the chocolate hamper which was one of the prizes, but they didn’t win anything today. Ah well, there will be plenty more Christmas raffles, I’m sure!
Videoed a few bits and have stuck them together quickly … gives a much better impression as you have sound as well. I must point out a couple of things – firstly that I was recording this with my arm around Abbie/Joe and they were fidgeting around so it is nothing short of a miracle that it’s as good as it is. No apologies for focussing on the cellists and nobody else! Perhaps next time I’ll try to take some clips that are more representative of the whole orchestra. The Snowflakes clip was filmed by Abbie, and special attention must be given to the last couple of notes in that clip, played by the single recorder player! Abbie is hoping to go and keep her company in January. Enjoy.

rofl – I had to look that up! Steve knew what it was though.
just realised i’ve named the first song wrongly as it’s Rudolf, not Jingle Bells – that’s what comes of putting video together while watching a film – I wasn’t listening to it
Oh well, can’t be bothered to change it now.

Wow! Tony and I loved that, tell Anna we’re very impressed and think it’s great that we have more musicians in the wings! Thanks for sharing xx

Have changed the titles now, couldn’t bear it to be wrong!
