Oxfordshire Monday
Okay I know it’s Tuesday today but I’m on catchup as it would have been antisocial to blog last night
Drove up here yesterday (just the kids and me). We left about an hour and a half before we needed to so that we could do some Motorway Mayhem caches on the way up, I’ve now got past the number of caches that I said I would find before I hid one of my own so must get that sorted one of these days. Anyway, the kids were saved from doing any more when it started raining around Junction 23 of the M5 so that was that, the rest will have to wait until another day!
Got here and found that Mim & Adam had cooked my favourite dinner, yum
After tea we played Guitar Hero, got very hot, watched Dragon’s Den, then went to bed listening to the storms outside.

You do realise there are 623,290 active caches in the world. So you have 623,239 to go (and counting). So you probably need to be finding around 1.5 caches per waking hour for the rest of your life to get them all. Give it up now you weirdo.

I never said I was going to try and find them *all*!

I bet you’re tempted though

Just the British ones, hey Sarah?

I have already resigned myself to the fact that Sarah will not be able to stop doing geocaches until she has either found them all or died of old age (The latter being more likely as Chris has pointed out). Of course Sarah hasn’t even got her own GPS (Generally Pointless Searching) device, so I could just ask for it back.

Indeed Steve, it was your birthday present wasn’t it? I suggest you demand another birthday present.

Yes, I think I’ll ask for a new turbo (then I can beat that darned Cosworth)

I think Sarah will move onto something more exciting one day.

Well, she did say she’s already looking forward to the new Animal Crossing game …

No doubt she is planning to get that for steve for Christmas.

anyone would think sarah had a compulsion to collect things/tick them off .
when you set up your own geocaches, they could have an animal crossing sets theme. then other similarly minded people could enjoy collecting all the furniture from geocaches – what a cross over game. hmm, of course you would need some coding, so they could then be loaded onto a wii or ds…

Helen, that is a priceless idea!!

In my defence, as well, I did think Steve would like geocaching more than he has turned out to. But no, I will be buying myself Animal Crossing, and a new GPSr for Christmas. He’s already bought his Christmas present, it’s sitting in the front room gathering dust and stopping me from hoovering the floor.
