Oxfordshire Tuesday

July 30th, 2008 by Sarah

Got up and played Guitar Hero (must copy that sentence, I am sure I can use it again in the next couple of days’ posts) after Mim & Adam had gone to work. Eventually all got ready for the day, then went out and spent the morning in Tilsley Park, wonder what we found there?

Back to M&A’s for a bit more GH before heading out to my parents’ house in Aston. It does still feel slightly queer driving out there, as it’s the village where I grew up – I’m sure it won’t feel strange after a while but at the moment it still does! Anyway, we had lunch, then went out to see Ben’s workplace, Fallowfields Falconry, which was great.

After that we went to the Pottery where Esther is working over the summer, and Grandad stumped up the cash for the kids to decorate a bowl each :)

Back home for general dossing around, and the rest of the family turned up in stages. Ben got his baby Barn Owl, Flannel, out for Abbie to play with, which she really enjoyed until Lorraine warned her that it might poo on her, then she got all suspicious of it!

Josiah and Caleb enjoyed playing their new favourite game, camera tag – they were both running around with cameras in their hands trying to get shots of one another!

As Dad started the BBQ cooking, the heavens opened so we all ended up eating inside – luckily the BBQ itself is under a canopy so Dad still managed to cook everything out there. Had a lovely evening then looking at old photo albums or watching a film, depending on what you were interested in!

Back to Adam & Mim’s after that where the kids annoyed me by not going to bed very well at all so none of them are currently expecting to be going to the cinema later, although they may get the opportunity to earn their treat back as the day goes on.
