So glad to have made it to half term
Only today to go, and it’s started well: Abbie and Joe are going to a ‘Bike It‘ Breakfast at school, so have miraculously managed to get up early, do all music practices, have lunches packed and be ready half an hour earlier than usual. How they can’t do this on a normal day I don’t know!
Anna broke up yesterday so she’s off to work with Steve and is also up early, has packed lunches for them both, and is now doing her music practice too, leaving me time to have a cup of tea and blog in peace, something that *never* usually happens in the morning. Usually I think someone is mucking around by playing the demos on the keyboard, and then I realise it’s Anna actually playing … quite scary.
I’m in pink – usually wear a pink t-shirt on Fridays anyway (all the days have colours allotted to them and my ocd self seems to have to wear the same colour
) but our whole school is doing a pink thing for breast cancer today so all the kids should be in pink too, which will be amusing. I’ve added shoes, earrings and hair accessory to my usual t-shirt, pink trousers would be a step too far I think!
Just can’t wait for a few lie-ins next week and some days of taking it easy. This past half term has been really hard work, everyone here has been tired and grotty for at least a couple of weeks, so the break is well overdue and will be much appreciated by all of us.

Oooo I like the sound of a pink day! I love doing group fund raising stuff, sadly Shinies has opted out of anything this year. We can’t get enough commitment to raise our own funds never mind charity. Sad world.
