Carols by candlelight and orchestral accompaniment!

December 19th, 2008 by Sarah

One of my most favourite things about Christmas is the music – all sorts of music but particularly carols, I love them.

Anna’s youth orchestra ended up playing for the parish church in the next village along (where we lived in the Vicarage the year Josiah was born), so I enjoyed attending their carol service while helping with the orchestra last night. The music made you feel as though you were in Songs of Praise or something, it was fabulous. And very loud!

The children have all broken up from school and are doing various things today while I work my last day of term. Unfortunately then we have an evening also stuffed full with violin lesson, kids club party and then Anna has a youth group party so probably needs picking up late in the evening (oh how i hate this).

Tomorrow looks pretty busy too but there are more carols in it so I might just cope …

I love carols too. I love having music on at Christmas but get fed up of pop music so this year we bought a carol cd and it’s been on lots. Means that when I do hear all the pop music I’m not so sick of it too! Although that bloomin Asda music – arrrrgghhh!

How weird, I really don’t do carols at all and manage to get away most years without having to sing one, or sometimes even hear one! Aren’t we all funny?

Forgot to say, have a wonderful holiday – sounds like you all need a good dose of R&R xxx

PS. The last one with all those kisses was me, not Rog!
