First sick day ever
I really can’t recall ever having taken a day off sick before. Okay, it could be argued that I haven’t actually been in the workplace that much either, therefore I haven’t had the necessity to take a day off, but there we go. Still coughing, bunged up with occasional sneezing fits, achy, and need regular drugs to feel sane, so decided not to inflict myself on my colleagues or the children in my class (I probably caught it from them, but there we go) and stayed at home instead.
This means that I have time to blog, for a change, not that I have all that much to say! Last week was pretty much a normal week all round. Kids are all fine, nothing new to report really. Garage is still there. Hoping that the workshop might reopen towards the end of the month, not sure though. Terry is driving again but definitely not up to working as before; he is looking to take on an apprentice to be his body!
One thing of note for Josiah: he received a Thank You Certificate at school. Neither of us could make it, and he’d told us it was for doing ten library challenges, so we didn’t bother too much. However, when said certificate came home, it was for ‘an excellent attitude to work, and being a good role model’. Steve and I almost wet ourselves laughing. Seriously, our son has a total personality transformation somewhere in the park on the way to school. At home, he has an attitude which is slapdash at best (get it done as quickly as possible, who cares how it looks when it’s finished), and could only be considered to be a good role model to someone who wanted to learn how to be stroppy and rude. Still, I am pleased that he can be lovely somewhere, I suppose – hopefully one day it will extend to home as well! Really, he’s not that bad, in fact he’s quite lovely on a good day, but sometimes his stroppiness overshadows his loveliness.
Right, two posts on a day off ill is quite enough, back to the daytime tv

Snap to the ill from Riona – I’m home with her today. Amazing how much work you can get done when you don’t have to teach!
As for Joe – I blame his sisters. You’ll be glad to know he’s a model of good behaviour etc when he comes round here.

well Riona has my sympathies, hope she’s better soon. I will be bored after one day at home on my own so will have to go back to work tomorrow!

LOL at your view of Joe’s ability as a role model for the stroppy and rude!!

Blimey that looked really rude! I meant your view was funny – not that I think he IS a role model for the stroppy and rude. Pass me a shovel anyone…..??
