Spanish half term 1: Flight and arrival

February 13th, 2009 by Sarah

It was oh so exciting to take the kids on a plane for the first time this half term. Having said that, I hadn’t flown for a good 20 years or so so there was some novelty factor in it for me too! We watched the sun set over the Pyrenees, some fabulous views out of the window. The children moaned about their ears hurting when we landed, but they survived ;) Taxi transfer was smooth, easy, and we were soon at our villa.

The villa was spacious and deemed as ‘luxury’ by Josiah. Think that was because of the tiled floors, not sure he realised that most houses in the med have tiled floors to keep them cool. Girls were especially pleased to have a bedroom each and named them ‘princess’ rooms due to those ikea net canopies over the beds! It was a fabulous house, we were really pleased with it – everything we needed, and the people who look after the villa were great to deal with, by email before we arrived and then in person while we were there.

We had time to cook dinner and then explored the games room before bed – playing pool and choosing music from the jukebox turned out to be a favourite activity of the week!

LOL at Joe and the tiled floors, mainly because we have tiles through most of downstairs here :-D

Fantastic photos, sounds like you all had a lovely break :-)
