Spanish half term 2: Finding our feet (and some food & wine!)

February 14th, 2009 by Sarah

Valentine’s day – totally surprised when Steve handed me a card in the morning as I assumed he would do nothing as usual! Lucky I’d taken one for him as well ;)

We’d taken a couple of packs of pains au chocolat for our first breakfast, and then the need to find a supermarket was fairly urgent – we needed wine before we could contemplate a late night hot tub session!

The girls got in the jacuzzi pretty much first thing! Joe and Steve played pool, while I entertained some Brummie window cleaners who were very chatty. Once they’d gone we went on the tram to El Campello to find the shops – relatively easy – picked up supplies for a couple of days then came back for lunch and relaxing. Did a lot of this! Generally I would read, sitting in the sun somewhere, while Steve and the kids divided their time between watching DVDs, the hot tub and the games room! Suited everyone, me particularly – I read on average two whole books every day :)

The toyboxes in the house were all explored over the first couple of days, and added to the in-villa entertainment. Didn’t manage to do anything else outside the villa on the first day as a result – but I think it was good.
