Caching like I’ve never cached before
According to my friend’s GPS we walked 12.6 miles today. No mean feat when most of it was on coastal paths that went up and down with the cliffs, and then in Dartmouth from top to bottom (and then back to the top again, then back to the bottom again, etc.!) My legs ache like crazy and I was puffing, panting and sweating at various points – attractive! We walked between the first two on the Kingswear side, then moved the car down near the ferry and went across on the ferry to Dartmouth (on foot) for the rest. I am too unfit for words. Some fabulous views though, it was totally worth it. Click on photos if you’re interested, as they have explanatory notes on them ![]()
The kids stayed at home with Steve; they went to church and did a few jobs around the house, before going over to Grandma & Grandpa’s to see their new kittens, Bullet (or perhaps Bullitt?) and Tinker, apparently both very cute. Not sure if we’re ready to go back to school tomorrow but it will happen I’m sure …

It’s a bit like letterboxing on Dartmoor – ask Anna (although she will say it’s boring). I’ll pass the messages on

You’ve missed out the vital information – how many caches did you find?!
Still only slowly getting to grips with the whole geocache thing: seems like a good idea for getting the whole family out & moving, but the kids get annoyed if we don’t find the cache, and moan all the way back…

Well it was only 7, and I know far more have been done in a day, but we did most of them on foot and it was rough terrain all the way, so felt like much more of an achievement to me!

I thought it seemed like a fab day. We were very envious!
