Life is so boring there’s nothing to blog
Just bumbling along in the usual mayhem of school and busy life. Nothing to report over the past couple of weeks, really! Lots of this though …

Really pleased with Josiah recently, he’s been doing a ’100 day play’ challenge on his violin, practicing every day for 100 days. He’s on about day 80 at the moment and has enjoyed the experience and really noticed a difference in his playing, and that in turn has motivated him to keep going. There was one day that he skipped because he was ill – but apparently Suzuki said ‘only practice on the days you eat’, and as Joe didn’t eat anything that day we figured it would be ok!
The highlight of this week at work was a trip out to the Playpark, which is a lovely new park specially designed to be accessible to children with disabilities – so for example the roundabout is sunken into ground level with space to put a wheelchair on it, there’s a swing with a big bucket seat, wide ramps everywhere even into the sandpit, etc. Not to mention the fabulous fence all around so we could let our runners off the leash! We had a lovely day there and I highly recommend the park for anyone local, whether you have disability issues or not.
The weekend has been nice so far; the girls went off to orchestra this morning then we scooped them up at lunchtime and met up with long lost friends who were in town for the day. We dragged them out to Wiscombe for the afternoon to watch Steve race. Lovely to have friends with me for a change. Weather was a bit variable but we didn’t get *too* wet, and I enjoyed the opportunity to take some photos ![]()
