Quiet week

August 20th, 2009 by Sarah

Sometimes, when a couple of members of the family are absent, it feels VERY quiet. Steve’s been working and out a lot this week, so for the most part it’s just been me, Abbie and Joe around – and we’ve had a nice time.

We’ve bimbled around doing various things, from crafts, to geocaching, and activity workshops at Pets at Home. Lego, gears, geomags, a fair bit of gaming (My Sims Kingdom and Animal Crossing mainly, with a bit of Wario Ware in there as well), some films, and some cooking. Abbie’s been doing some maths workbooks just for fun, too (I love that girl ;) ). It has felt very holiday-ish!

Communication from Anna tailed off after, um, a day. Which I took to mean that she is having a wonderful time and too busy with friends and activities to bother texting her old mum. And that’s good :) I just hope some of the G5 theory stuff will have gone in, as well!

We’ve friends coming round for dinner and a Very Silly Movie later on, then tomorrow is earmarked for Getting Ready For Camping. Wondering what state the trailer will be in after a whole year of being in the garage – must use it more next year …

JUst so long as no mice have got to it.

Will try to get my town into some sort of order for when you come back :)

Oh, where are you camping? We’re off on Sat too!

Sussex. And thankfully the trailer seems fine. Tiny bit of evidence of nibbling but nothing major. Really am planning to use it more next year, have already booked a few days in October and will start earlier in the season next year!

Enjoy Sussex. We’re off to the Forest of Dean with bikes for a nice quiet 4some. Glad your trailer OK. See you when you’re back x
