Just a little section of the Exe Estuary Trail

September 20th, 2009 by Sarah

Today I felt that carving out some family time together was going to be more beneficial to us all than half of us going off to church, despite the fact that I haven’t been for a couple of weeks now. But when everyone is out doing their own thing during the week and then Steve works 3/4 of the weekend there is precious little family time left. I feel kind of bad about it some of the time (especially as I’ve since realised that we can’t go next week either!), but equally I feel it’s part of my worship to keep my family unit functioning well, and that means investing time in it.

Anyway. It was a beautiful day, but we only had the morning to play with, as Steve was due back in the office this afternoon and Abbie suddenly remembered she had a swimming party to attend. So we stayed relatively close to home and drove to Lympstone to walk/cycle the Exe Estuary trail from there down to Exmouth. It was lovely, and everyone (even the moaning children who didn’t want to do anything) enjoyed themselves.

One cyclist, one scooterist, and a walker! We loved this walkway First cache of the morning Exe Estuary trail Sisters Along the Exe Estuary Trail Getting changed! Running Abbie Off to find a geocache

We hopped on the train back to save time, and were home just before Steve and Abigail needed to leave.

This afternoon Anna is being a dozo over her maths homework (as per usual), but apparently has finished some music theory. Joe is gaming, and they’re planning to bake blondies once Anna’s finished her homework (this could take a while).

Fingers crossed that Steve sells the campervan he’s gone back into the office for a test drive on.
