Quick news before half term
Just the usual manic week here. Josiah’s been on half term which just made us girls very jealous, and made Steve’s life more complicated than usual as Joe basically had to tag around after Steve all week.
The exception to this was Tuesday, when we’d had the pleasure of Michelle and Chloe‘s company overnight on Monday and they took Joe out for a tour of Exeter – they visited the Cathedral (I hope Josiah was actually leading this part of the tour!), the House that Moved, and then the Underground Passages after lunch. He really enjoyed his day (and yet again I was jealous!).
Heard this week that Josiah will more than likely be invested as a full chorister this side of Christmas rather than afterwards – which is great as it means he’ll be involved in all the Christmas music at the Cathedral. Also must mean that Mr Millington thinks he’s getting on ok, which is encouraging. He thinks boarding on Christmas Eve sounds like a huge treat (it would be!) but we haven’t decided about that yet!
The girls and I have just been at school. Everyone at my school is slightly manic this week – I really do think that 7 weeks is just too long for a half term! 6 is optimum, 5 feels a bit short – but in the 7th week everyone is just overtired and doolally – staff and students alike. We had the excitement of Bubbel G in our school hall on Wednesday, performing their entire repertoire of two songs, and a re-mix of the first song
Apparently they’re promoting themselves by doing a school tour – they probably didn’t realise what sort of school ours was when they booked it!
Today Anna has an occasional day off so she is spending it in town with friends (and boyfriends, argh), while Abbie and I are at school (Wear it Pink Day in aid of Breast Cancer at my school, this will undoubtedly lead to more overexcitement all round). Josiah and Steve are packing up the Hymer and leaving for Wales this morning, and the rest of us will follow them up when we’ve cleaned out the guinea pigs this afternoon after school.

Fun fun fun. I’m exhausted, so is Steve. Can’t actually say I’m looking forward to watching the Rally (the whole reason for going to Wales in the first place) but I’m definitely looking forward to being away and having a break. We also have the exciting (??!) prospect of joining some friends for the first round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Cardiff on Wednesday.

When did the Hymer arrive? I missed that!

Yesterday, so you could be forgiven for missing it. I don’t think it’s staying …

Boyfriends, as in there boyfriends or guyfriends?

So, so jealous of that hymer. Have a great time. And boyfriends. Argh.

Whatever, I was tired. I nearly always get it right.

I told her “nearly always” isn’t good enough

10-week terms here! I like it because the (4) terms are equal size and the hols are always 2+ weeks but the first couple of 10-weekers were marathon-like.
