Sunny October days

I’m surprised my blog remembers me, these days, I post so infrequently. However, I’ve found a few photos on my phone, and the clocks go back so I’ve got a spare hour in which to write something …
Yet again when we have lovely fresh autumn sunshine, I am reminded that I love living in Devon. Anna is away at the SWMS October residential this weekend, so we dragged our remaining children plus their friends who are staying for the night out for a little circular walk around Laughter Tor and Bellever Tor this afternoon. It was simply gorgeous – and my phone snaps don’t do it justice. The colours of autumn on Dartmoor are just stunning.

Caspian the guinea pig died the other week. A little bit sad, but not very; we had been wondering how long he’d go on for since Reepicheep died back in April. Anyway the hutch was fairly delapidated so Josiah happily took on the job of demolishing it with a hammer one sunny afternoon …

Other blog-worthy news from our household … er …
Steve Clarke Garages has unveiled its new website …
Anna is looking at 6th form options (I find that a bit scary) and is supposedly working hard on actually achieving what she needs to in order to generic cialis no prescription get there …
Abbie has joined CCF so loves Tuesdays when she gets to go to school in her combat boots and CCF uniform … she spent half of her half term holiday in Valencia on a school Spanish language trip, so she can now say ‘paella’ properly
Josiah has been baking delicious cookies and brownies … and food tech at school has been fun too …
and I have taken on the responsibility for both classes in the Early Years area at my school, doubling my admin/managerial workload but it’s a challenge and I’m looking forward to it.
Everything else is just rushing along as usual. Half term is very welcome here as it’s madness the rest of the time!
I have missed your blog! Nice to have an entry to read and to catch up with what you are all up to.
Such a gorgeous day on Dartmoor – looks like the weather was stunning. Always glad to hear your news. Not much different here – life too crazy, glad for the half term break. Smiling at your gorgeous daughter in her amazing boots – my ds v. v. jealous.
Curious how blogging has become either a commercial activity or something some of the more creative people used to do.
Well, what can I say? It’s true: the children are growing up so don’t like to be blogged about, I’m working outside the home now and can’t write about that – and therefore have less time to be creative! I did make some pumpkin scones today, in my defence
