Happy New Year

So, Christmas has been and gone. We enjoyed another Cathedral Christmas, followed by a day spent entertaining various family from near and far on Boxing Day. It’s been quiet here since then, which has been very good – we were all exhausted. We’ve done a bit of work this week, and a bit of shopping, and quite a lot of sleeping.
Today I put together my annual roundup page for the blog – Steve said it was disappointing that people can’t comment on the page. To be honest, I don’t think he’s noticed that posts don’t really get very many comments these days in any case! Anyway, so that comments are allowed, here’s the page as a post:
I really don’t know what to say in a yearly round up on a blog which has hardly had a post a month this year. Poor neglected weblog. However, it would just
be wrong not to have something here to document our year, so here goes. This word cloud was created using the things that we all came up with when brainstorming words to describe the year ![]()

Click to see it a bit bigger. I should add that 4/5 of the family were quite grumpy at being asked to contribute and so this reflects the first thing that came into their heads … so may or may not be an accurate representation! Photos from the year are here … again I asked people for their favourites from the year but only one person bothered to reply so these are mine!

Perhaps I will write more here next year? Who knows! Happy New Year
I knew you would be musing over photos at the year end! I am likewise, but not yet so organised. I have 3 years of backlog… but working on it. You can go and see some on Flickr if you like.
Thanks for sharing your memories, and a Happy New Year to you all.
