My Mother’s Day Card

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

After receiving this tiny (it’s about 4cm high and 12cm long) but beautifully made card, I had yet another breakfast in bed, all courtesy of my favourite middle child :)

We spent the rest of the day together in the park and at home … the concert was very entertaining, if a little haphazard in places!

Is it a takeover?!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2004

Nothing for me to blog today, looks like the blog is suffering a takeover bid from other family members :)

I’ve spent my time making a 3D hama bead egg (not good enough for Anna’s competition, I don’t think!) which is a bit of a disaster (but Abbie is pleased with it), and helping Anna set up her blog. We had a trip to the park and the library, in amongst all that.

Oh, and a very funny moment when the kids locked themselves in the front porch (the door handle on the inside porch door is broken, the door can’t be opened from either side – usually they know not to close it but an over enthusiastic 2yo shut it while they were all in there!) over lunchtime, and I was stuck inside the house while they were working out a solution to the problem. Abigail was valiantly trying to jimmy the door with a piece of grass, and then a tennis racket (??!). It’s making me laugh out loud just thinking about it!

I then suggested that I could pass some workbooks and pencils under the door so they could do something while they waited for Steve to come home at teatime, but they weren’t too keen on that idea. It was very quiet, and so tempting just to leave them there!! Not one of them thought that I could come out of the back door, I obviously need to give them more of these problem solving activities, lol!

Park

It’s been a gorgeous sunny day here today. Spent the morning with Steve in the office then in town – very lovely to be together with no kids for once … this afternoon we went down to the park and just to balance up the photo content on this page, here are a couple of snaps.
