just another morning here

We need a few cheap days before we hit Paris later in the holiday! Today was one – we spent some money on ice-creams but free apart from that! Ate almost all our leftover food, and just went for a bike ride in the afternoon. The hiking/cycle track through the forest was fab, a mixture of all-terrain (but not too bad, easy by Llys-y-Fran reservoir standards anyway!) and tarmac track. The kids swam, too, when we got back to the campsite.

The forest here has a number of lakes in it which were constructed to serve Versailles, so that’s quite interesting. Was trying to find a link but Steve wants to use the computer so I have to stop, as I’ve been on here for ages!

There is internet at Huttopia Rambouillet too Just around the reception area, but handily that is also near the bar and pool, so sitting here watching the kids swim with a couple of other english children while drinking beer and reading/sharing the computer with Steve. Very civilised!

Not much to say really; our journey between sites was uneventful and we set up here without any problems. Eating up weird combinations of food from the trailer before going to find a supermarket tomorrow.

Went on a nice bike ride through the forest this afternoon, a mixture of forest trails and roadway, so that was nice. Weather is cloudy with the odd bit of sunshine breaking through, quite warm though, so very pleasant
